Peoria does not post official trick-or-treat times but typically between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. is a good guideline. October 31st is on a Sunday this year making it an easy day to celebrate. With young kids, you may want to go earlier rather than later as the sun will set before 6 p.m.

COVID-19 is still a concern for many. If it is a concern for you, remember to practice social distancing whenever possible. You could also incorporate masks into your costumes if you were looking for a way to still feel protected but still dress up.

Halloween Monster Bash

If you are looking for an activity to go to in Peoria, then head to the Peoria Sports Complex on Saturday, October 23rd for the Halloween Monster Bash. The event offers a free experience for the whole family with the tagline no tricks, but plenty of treats. The festivities run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event is an in-person event, and though it’s free, bringing canned goods for the benefit of St. Mary’s/Westside Food Bank Alliance is encouraged. There will be attractions, a costume contest, a sensory room, and more! The address is 16101 N. 83rd Avenue and you can enter at 83rd Ave and Mariners Way.
