The new 53-Series models from Mercedes-AMG were debuted this past weekend at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI, impressing show-goers with an impressive combination of both performance and efficiency. 53-Series models Рwhich include the E 53 4MATIC+ Coup̩ and Cabriolet, as well as the new CLS 4MATIC+ Рoffer drivers style, luxury, an innovative and efficient new hybrid powertrain and more. 2018 Mercedes-AMG CLS 4MATIC+

The new Mercedes-AMG CLS 4MATIC+ is fitted with a new 430-hp (320 kW), 3.0-liter six-cylinder inline engine, 22-hp (16 kW) EQ Boost starter-alternator and 48 V battery. The hybrid powertrain reduces emissions and increases efficiency.

The new engine is fitted with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission that offers quick shift time, double-declutching capability, fast-responding paddle shifters and multiple driving modes, offering the driver greater control and increased safety for all driving conditions.

The exclusive Edition 1 of the Mercedes-AMG CLS 4MATIC+ is fitted with COPPERT ART interior design, which features black nappa leather with copper-colored topstitching, carbon fiber trim elements, Performance steering wheel, exclusive badges and more. The luxurious and premium interior also features a 64-color ambient lighting system and an IWC analog clock.

2018 Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabriolet

The new 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabriolet also debuted this past weekend at NAIAS 2018. Both Mercedes-AMG models are fitted with the 53-Series 3.0-liter engine, and offer drivers an estimated 28 miles per gallon (8.4 l/100 km).*

Like the Mercedes-AMG CLS 4MATIC+, both the E 53 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabriolet feature a luxurious interior that offers dual 12.3-inch touchscreens, AMG-specific badges and upholstery, DINAMICA microfibre accents and more.
