Exterior Design

The AMG 53-Series models feature a distinctive, unique look with a few shared design elements, including a twin-blade radiator grille in silver chrome—a feature previously reserved only for V8 AMG models. Instead of the usual diamond pattern grille with individual pins, the twin-blade grille features a dynamic black lattice pattern. The AMG CLS 53 features some of its own exclusive design elements, starting with the front bumper.

The coupe’s front bumper features additional side air curtains to help the air flow over them in a targeted manner, thus improving aerodynamics and reducing drag. The wide outer lines of the radiator grille towards the bottom and sharply cut, narrow headlamps establish a powerful profile for the coupe. The CLS 53 Coupe’s exterior mirrors are positioned on the doors like the AMG GT models for a sportier, more dynamic look. The coupe’s back-end features two-section tail lights that provide the practical benefit of a large trunk opening. The CLS 53 comes standard with 19” light-alloy wheels with the option to upgrade to 20” wheels.

AMG Performance Steering Wheel

The CLS AMG 53 Coupe also features a new, standard-fit AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather with personalization options like wood inserts in piano lacquer or DINAMICA microfiber on the grip area. The seats with adjustable head restraints have been redesigned and enhanced in terms of material choice, shape, and color. The rear seating row has also been redesigned to feature three full-size seats and 40/20/40 split-folding capability for improved everyday practicality.
