The Mercedes-Benz family tree continues to grow with the introduction of the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe. It fits into the Mercedes-Benz master plan all but perfectly but there is still something missing. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will both be available as cabriolet models this spring, so why not the C-Class? The C43 technically not a brand new name for Mercedes-Benz. The C43 was actually the flagship model for the C-Class in the late 90s before the introduction of the C55 and then the C63.We aren’t sure what the fascination with odd numbers is all about, but we appreciate the fast cars nonetheless. A class-action lawsuit just popped up in Texas claiming Mercedes-Benz diesel defeat devices exist in most of the Mercedes-Benz lineup from the discontinued Mercedes-Benz M-Class to the new Mercedes-Benz GLE. The 2017 Mercedes-AMG SLC43 Roadster, previously known as the SLK, has a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds. To give you something to compare that to, the worlds fastest motorcycles use about 3 seconds to get to the same speed. This is amazing considering motorcycles weight less than 1,000 pounds when the SLC43 weighs in closer to 3,000 pounds. How could the 2017 Mercedes-AMG SLC43 0-60 time be possible? Is there such a thing as too much horsepower? No way! No matter how much power you can pack under the hood, there is always room for improvement. Actually, we think General Custer would agree with us when we say that not enough horsepower can and will end you. Horsepower is always one of the first things that is brought up about a car, whether it be a sports car or a minivan, because horsepower is a strong indication of what will happen if your foot falls asleep on the pedal.
