If another vehicle detects a hazard, such as sudden wheelspin, hazard light use, or even rain, your SL 43 can receive alerts via in-dash notifications. Active Brake Assist  

Active Brake Assist uses radar technology to monitor vehicles and objects ahead. If you approach too quickly, the system warns you and can apply additional braking force when you slow down.  

Active Brake Assist can initiate braking automatically when you do not react in time. This works across various speeds and can detect pedestrians at typical city driving ranges. This proactive system helps reduce collision risks and ensures safer driving in urban and highway settings.  

Crosswind Assist  

Strong crosswinds can challenge stability, especially at highway speeds. Crosswind Assist continuously monitors driving conditions using data from the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), steering, and suspension sensors.
