Step 1: Download and Open the App 

First, head to your smartphone's app store and download the Mercedes-Benz  app. Once installed, open the app to begin your journey into connected driving. 

Step 2: Register as a New User

Select the option to register as a new user on the login screen. Enter your email address or phone number, and upon receiving the confirmation message, proceed to fill out your personal information. Be sure to carefully read and confirm the terms and conditions before clicking the “Register” button.

Step 3: Double Verification Process 

To ensure the security of your account, Mercedes-Benz employs a double verification process. After clicking register, a six-digit verification code will be sent to your mobile or email (whichever is your user ID). Enter this code in the app and click “Next” to proceed.  

Step 4: Pair Your Vehicle 

Now comes the exciting part—pairing your vehicle with your account.  

If your Mercedes is equipped with MBUX, navigate to the Mercedes-Benz app icon on the MBUX interface and generate a QR code. Scan this code using your mobile app to complete the pairing process quickly. 

Alternatively, you can use your vehicle's VIN, which is available on the information sticker inside the driver-side door. Enter the number in the app. A code will be generated on your vehicle screen. Enter the code in the app and pair.  

You may need to contact Mercedes-Benz support for the code for older-generation vehicles.  

Step 6: Identity Verification 

To ensure the security of specific functions like remote engine start and door lock/unlock, Mercedes-Benz app requires identity verification. Traditionally done at the dealership, this step can now be completed conveniently through the app. 

• You need to have a driver's license ready 
• Click on Start Identity Check on the app 
• Choose the issuing state of the ID, which is your driver’s license.  
• You will be asked to scan the front of the license. Following the instructions on the screen, take a clear and legible photo. 
• You will then be asked to scan the barcode on the back of your license. The scan happens very quickly as you bring the barcode into focus. 
• You will be asked to scan your face to compare it to the face on your driver’s license. Follow the scanning instructions. If you don't want to scan your face or cannot do it, you can visit your dealership for help.
