2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV vs 2019 Cadillac XT5

Advantages of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE

As you can see in the table above, while the horsepower for both vehicles isn’t too different, the GLE 400 4MATIC®* has far more torque than the XT4 Standard. So if power is one of the main deciding factors, you may want to consider the GLE over the XT5.

The trailering package is not available on the base trim of the Cadillac XT5. This means that you cannot tow anything on the XT5 Standard. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 4MATIC®*, however, can tow up to 7,200 pounds with the optional trailer hitch.

The cargo space is pretty close, but you will have more in the Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 4MATIC®* than in the Cadillac XT5. You also can find more features on the GLE than in the XT5, such as Brake Assist, which is standard on the GLE but isn’t available on the XT5.
