The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a solid midsize sedan that provides some great space and technologies for its passengers. But how does it compare to the 2019 Audi A6? That’s what we are here to find out! Let’s take a look at these luxury vehicles. Hopefully, we’ll be able to help you determine which one is the right model for you. Check it out!
Before we begin, please take note that we are comparing the base trims for both models. That means we are only looking at the power and technology features of the Mercedes-Benz E 300 and the A6 Premium. First up is the starting MSRP*. As you can see in the table below, the starting MSRP* of the E 300 is just a bit lower than that of the A6 Premium. This might not seem like much, but if you are interested in adding on any optional features, this wiggle room can go a long way.
Mercedes-Benz E 300
Audi A6 Premium
|241 hp & 273 lb.-ft.||Horsepower & Torque||248 hp & 273 lb.-ft.6.2 seconds|
|6.2 seconds||0-60 mph acceleration||6.1 seconds|
|Optional||Blind Spot Monitoring||Optional|
The Audi A6 Premium does give you a bit more horsepower and torque and can accelerate .1 seconds faster than the E 300. However, if you are looking for a smoother drive, you might want to go with the E 300, which has the 9G-TRONIC transmission, whereas the A6 Premium has a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Remember how we spoke earlier about optional features and price factoring in? Well, one optional feature you might want to have in your car is the Blind Spot Monitoring system, which is an available feature on both the A6 Premium and the E 300. Other optional features in the E 300 include a panorama sunroof and the Driver Assistance Package. Some standard features include Active Brake Assist, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and ATTENTION ASSIST®.
