2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs 2017 Jaguar XE

The Mercedes-Benz C 300 and the Jaguar XE are two competitors that set the standard for the rest of the industry. As midsize sedans, they are also two of the most popular vehicles of their respective brands. On the outside, they could even be considered brothers to someone who doesn't know a lot of luxury vehicles. They are roughly an inch apart in almost every direction and they represent importance without the need for a large price tag.

One of the first places you look to compare two similar cars is under the hood. In this case, you will two almost identical engines. This engine is of course the bulletproof 2.0L turbocharged configuration that was discovered in the 1980s as the sweet spot for size and induction. These two versions of it are only different by one horsepower, but have a range of 22 lb-ft of torque. This doesn't seem like much, and it's not, but as little as one lb-ft of torque can make the difference of being able to get the back tires loose.
