Mercedes-Benz puts a lot of energy into creating the best cars in the world. The CLS is no exception. The 2016 CLS is a carry-over model from the redesigned 2015 model. It features everything that was available in the 2015 CLS, with a few improvements. One change is in regards to the 9-speed transmission that was introduced last year as an option. It is now a standard feature for the CLS 550 and CLS 63 S. Also new for 2016 is an additional external color, known as Selenite Gray. This color goes well with the new Night Package that is available for the first time in the CLS.

2016 Mercedes-Benz CLS Trims

The CLS is available in three distinct trims. The base-model trim is the CLS 400. Even with the least powerful engine in the CLS lineup, the CLS 400 still provides 329 horsepower with a 3.0-liter V6. The middle trim is the CLS 550. This model sports a 4.7-liter V8 with 402 horsepower. Last but not least is the AMG® CLS 63 S. This trim comes with a 5.5-liter V8 that produces 577 horsepower. All of these models can be equipped with all-wheel drive and the new 9-speed transmission. These engines provide drivers with the versatility to customize their driving experiences. If you are looking for something with a lot of power, you might need the AMG® CLS 63 S. If you are more focused on luxury and comfort, you might find that the CLS 550 is a perfect fit.
