AMG® Adaptive Aerodynamics

One of the major components that sets the GT R apart from the GT and the GT S is the adaptive aerodynamics. The front bumper, the underbody, and the rear bumper all move mechanically to manipulate airflow at different speeds. When the car needs more air, the louvers open up, if the car needs more downforce, the vents will close, creating a streamline of air that helps keep the car on the track. 

The GT R is also wider than the GT and the GT S. With an extra 1.8 inches in the front and 2.2 inches in the back, the GT R features wider tires and track-friendly wheelbase.
