The Goodwood Festival of Speed is less about racing than it is about watching the world’s most capable and historic cars climb to the top of the hill as they weave through the crowds of cheering fans. They do keep track of times and records, but at Goodwood, there are no enemies because it is the world’s fastest garden party.
The live stream can be watched on the Goodwood website. The festival will continue throughout the weekend, showcasing new vehicles, old vehicles, and lots of burning rubber.
The brand new Mercedes-AMG GT R will be unveiled today at the Goodwood Festival with 577 horsepower, transforming body pieces, and a new serpent green color that makes it look like it just escaped the jungle. Because this is just the introduction for the next-generation GT, it won’t go on sale in the United States, or in the rest of the world for that matter, until the end of this year.
