2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Specs and Features

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz has been optimized for improved off-road performance. The rugged G-Class features a new suspension and three 100-percent differential locks for improved comfort and capability. New for 2019, the G-Class features ‘G-Mode.’ G-Mode improves off-road handling and is triggered when one of the three differential locks or the LOW RANGE off-road reduction gear is turned on. This off-road mode is used to avoid unnecessary shifting by softening the chassis, steering and accelerator. DYNAMIC SELECT offers drivers “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Eco” and “Individual” driving modes.

The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission is fitted with a torque converter and offers a wide transmission ratio that optimizes fuel consumption and gives drivers a smoother and quieter ride.

In addition to rugged off-road additions and optimizations, the interior of the G-Class takes luxury to a new level with newly-available dual 12.3-inch touchscreens, standard open-pore wooden trim, high-quality leather seating options and so much more. The redesigned interior offers drivers increases in space, with as much as 5.9 inches of extra legroom in the back seat.
