Fall Car Care

Check the tires | Tires are one of the most important components of driving, and they also endure the most wear and tear on a daily basis. At least once a week, check tire pressure and tread to ensure tires are fully inflated and free from puncture holes and blemishes. Your vehicle needs a wheel alignment if your tires are showing uneven wear. Keeping tires fully inflated improves efficiency and performance.

Check the lights and wipers Its important to see and be seen behind the wheel. Check your vehicle daily to make sure all the lights are properly working and plenty bright. At least once a month, test your vehicle’s wipers to see how well they clean your windshield. Replace wipers and lights as needed.

Check all the fluids | Strange noises or strained performance are usually an indication of low fluid levels, and could lead to major repairs. Check your vehicle’s antifreeze/coolant, engine oil, brake and transmission, windshield washer solvent, and power steering. Fluids should be checked every trip to the gas station.

Check the battery | Car batteries can wear down over time or start to corrode along the wires and lose proper connection. At least once a month, check your battery to ensure the connection is tight, clean, and corrosion-free. Replace your car battery every three-four years.
