Mercedes-Benz Redefines EV Charging with Revolutionary High-Performance Fast Charger Integration

Mercedes-Benz Fast Charging Technology

Electric mobility just got a serious power boost. With the introduction of groundbreaking Mercedes-Benz fast charging technology, Mercedes-Benz of Arrowhead in Peoria, AZ, is excited to highlight how the brand is setting an all-new standard for speed, efficiency, and convenience in EV charging. This next phase of innovation promises shorter charging times, higher performance, and a smarter charging network designed for the next generation of electric vehicles.

Charging Power That Pushes Boundaries

Starting in 2026, Mercedes-Benz will roll out Alpitronic’s HYC1000 fast-charging system, offering up to 600 kW per charging point. This system uses a modular and decentralized design, distributing power across multiple points through intelligent load management. The setup means drivers can recharge faster than ever—for example, adding up to 325 kilometers of range in just ten minutes. With this kind of output, the charging experience becomes nearly as quick as a traditional fuel stop.

A Glimpse at the Future of Fast Charging

Taking cues from the record-setting CONCEPT AMG GT XX, which achieved over one megawatt of charging power, Mercedes-Benz and Alpitronic are developing a high-performance charger that pushes limits. This next-gen fast charger uses a single CCS cable supporting up to 1,000 amps, and for North America, it will also support NACS connectors. The goal? Charging performance that exceeds anything seen before in public networks.

Innovation Through Partnership

This new charging era is built through close collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Alpitronic. Alpitronic brings its hardware and system design expertise, while Mercedes-Benz contributes integration know-how and rigorous real-world testing. Together, they’re building a foundation for faster, smarter, and more adaptable EV charging solutions that keep up with the pace of progress.

Charging for Everyone

Mercedes-Benz charging hubs aren’t limited to the brand’s own models — they’re open to all EV drivers. However, Mercedes-Benz owners gain extra advantages like Navigation with Electric Intelligence, which automatically plans routes, books charging spots, and connects directly through MB.CHARGE Public.

As the network expands across the U.S., Europe, and beyond, the vision is clear: redefine electric mobility with charging that’s as powerful as the vehicles themselves.
