Both hybrid and electric cars have been around for more than a decade, but they are just starting to become just as practical as combustion vehicles. The latest creation from Mercedes-Benz is a 400 horsepower SUV with 300 miles of full electric range. This is more than any electric car on the market, including Tesla, and could hit the streets in as little as 3 years. Having said that, if you are on the fence between Mercedes-Benz plug-in-hybrid and electric, we recommend finding an electric vehicle now or waiting a few years. Of course, the hybrid models are the best in the industry, but Moore’s Law is putting the technology into overdrive and even the current electric models are ahead of their time.
