Mercedes-Benz Emission Free Display Consumer Electronics Show 2017
Mercedes-Benz, like the rest of the industry, is racing to stop polluting the Earth with its vehicles. Fortunately for us, CES is the best place for a company to do that and the show is coming up next week. On display at the Mercedes-Benz booths will be an impressive collection of emission-free, electric cars. Here are some highlights of what Mercedes-Benz released in 2016.
Mercedes-Benz Electric Golf Cart
The Luxury In Motion was one of the first to be released and is still probably one of the smartest concept cars in the Mercedes-Benz fleet. It is completely electric, completely autonomous, and even communicates with pedestrians on sidewalks waiting to cross.
The EQ takes a step further and combines the Luxury In Motion concept with a more modern SUV like the GLC. It is fully autonomous and does not need any gas to drive. Here, we can even see evidence of technology borrowed from smart car, which is also owned by Mercedes-Benz.
The S650 Cabriolet is the epitome of luxury. Using only electric motors, it features more than 700 horsepower and can travel some 200+ miles on a full charge. Of course, these vehicles are still too costly to go into production, but they offer a window into a future that Mercedes-Benz has a firm grasp on.
