ECO Start/Stop Technology from Mercedes-Benz works to save fuel and reduce emissions by shutting off your engine when you don’t need it. Pretty novel concept, eh? How Do I Use Mercedes-Benz ECO Start/Stop Technology?

When you bring your Mercedes-Benz vehicle to a stop, ECO Start/Stop will evaluate a set of conditions, including engine temperature, battery charge level, and other driving conditions, to ensure it can pause your vehicle’s engine automatically. A small green icon near your speedometer will alert you when ECO Start/Stop is activated. Your Mercedes-Benz vehicle will have a button to control ECO Start/Stop, allowing you to turn the system on or off. If your vehicle’s engine is paused using ECO Start/Stop, you simply have to accelerate your engine to automatically and seamlessly restart.
