Mercedes-Benz adds another engine to the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE

If you didn’t think the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE had enough engine options, think again! This popular European brand adds another engine to this luxury SUV for people to enjoy. Let’s take a look at what this means for the model.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE new engine

The GLE 580 4MATIC®* trim now has an electrified V8 biturbo engine to power it through all sorts of terrain. Enjoy a powerful 483 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque in your drive. Still not enough for you?  Maybe adding an extra 21 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque 184 lb-ft of torque with the EQ Boost can do the job! All these specs work towards providing a powerful and speedy luxury SUV for your drive.

This model also has a 48 V on-board electrical system, which gives the battery of the GLE the ability to perform more efficiently.

Of course, we can’t speak about a modern Mercedes-Benz vehicle without talking about the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX®) system. Since you’ve probably already heard about it, we’ll just say this innovative technology gives your drive cool features like a touchscreen display, AI learning, and natural-language voice control. You can also find this particular technology on other trims of the 2020 GLE, such as the GLE 450 4MATIC®*, and of course its AMG® trim as well.
