⏰ 2-minute Read – If you own a new Mercedes-Benz EQB and want to integrate your iPhone into your driving experience, Apple CarPlay® is the perfect solution. This intuitive feature lets you access various iPhone functions directly on your vehicle’s multimedia system.

Getting Started with Apple CarPlay®

Before you begin, ensure you have an active internet connection for the full range of Apple CarPlay® features. The initial setup must be performed while the vehicle is stationary for safety reasons.

Wired Connection Setup

Connect Your iPhone: Connect your iPhone to a USB port in the center console using a compatible cable.
Access the Device Manager: Open the device manager on your multimedia system.
Enable Apple CarPlay®: Navigate to the Telephone menu, select Settings, and then go to the Devices menu.
Select Your iPhone: Under Devices, find your connected iPhone and select the Apple CarPlay® symbol next to its name.
Accept Data Protection Terms: If prompted, confirm the data protection provisions to proceed.

Wireless Connection Setup

Activate Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is turned on and your iPhone is visible to other devices.
Pair Your iPhone: Follow the on-screen prompts on your EV’s multimedia system to establish a wireless Apple CarPlay® connection.
Confirm Connection: Once paired, your iPhone will automatically connect whenever Bluetooth is enabled.

Operating Apple CarPlay®

You can control Apple CarPlay® in your Mercedes-Benz EQB using the touchscreen, the touch control on the steering wheel, or Siri voice commands.

To exit Apple CarPlay®, press the home button on either the multimedia system or the steering wheel’s touch control. To restart Apple CarPlay®, select its icon in the status bar.

To Disconnect Apple CarPlay®

Open the Device Manager and select the Apple CarPlay® symbol next to your iPhone’s name.

If connected via cable, unplug your iPhone.
