Extra weight in your vehicle means that your car is working harder to run. By eliminating weight, you can improve your fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The EPA estimates that for every extra 100 pounds your car carries, it loses 2% in fuel economy.

Another thing you can do is to start car pooling. If you have a large vehicle like the Mercedes-Benz GLE, you might want to think about starting a carpooling club with some coworkers. Everyone can benefit from driving their vehicle less. Not only does this decrease the amount of pollution released into the air, but it also decreases the amount you and your friends will have to pay for gas.
