How many trims are on the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan?
There are only 2 options for the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan; the A 220 and the A 220 4MATIC®*. However, there are still some differences you can find in these two options. Let’s see how many differences we can spot!
Starting off, you’ll have $32,500 for the Starting MSRP** for the A 220. This is a bit lower than that of the A 220 4MATIC®*, which starts at** $34,500. So, if you are going for vehicle price more than anything else, you’ll probably want to go with the A 220.
However, if you are looking for a vehicle that has an all-wheel drive you’ll want to go with the A 220 4MATIC®*, which has the 4MATIC®* all-wheel drive system. If you stick with the base trim, you’ll have front-wheel drive instead. This is the same with the traction system. You’ll have a 4-wheel Electronic Traction System on the A 220 4MATIC®* and the usual Electronic Traction System for the A 220.
If you are looking for an antitheft system, you’ll find it’s standard on the A 220 4MATIC®*, but not on the A 220. However, other than this system, both trims share much of the same standard technology and safety features such as the Active Brake Assist, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and of course the MBUX® multimedia system.
If you are looking for fuel efficiency above all else, you’ll need to determine which interests you more. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz A 220 has a 24 miles per gallon in the city and 35 mpg on the highway***. This is similar to the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A 220 4MATIC®*, which has an EPA-estimated 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway****.
