How do I customize my license plate number in Arizona?
It isn’t unusual to want to customize number on your license plate here in Arizona. Figuring out how to do so can get a bit more complicated. So, here’s how you do it!
If you want a personalized license plate it’ll cost $25. A specialty license plate can cost anywhere between $8 and $25. If you want one that is both special and personalized you’ll see a cost of $50. More information about vehicle fees can be found here.

You can also show up in person, but it isn’t that difficult to sent it to order a specialized plate. All you need to do is follow the instructions, which is on the same site where you can make sure the plate you come up with hasn’t already been taken by someone else.
In order to order your new license plate, you’ll need your vehicle registration, a Discover, American Express, Visa, or MasterCard, and a browser allows you to use Secure Socket Layer.
Yes, you can actually get personalized plates on a leased car as long as it’s in your name. You can also transfer the plates of your old car to the one you are leasing.
