2023 Mercedes-Benz EQ: What’s Under the Hood?

Equipped with a single electric motor on its rear axle, the 2023 EQE 350 generates an impressive 288 horsepower and 391 lb.-ft of torque. With this setup, the sedan accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 130 mph. The EQE 500 variant will be offered with all-wheel drive, with a second electric motor that gives out 402 horsepower to drive the front wheels. Both options come with rear-wheel steering and air suspension for a smooth ride and improved maneuverability in tight spaces.  

Charging Functions of the 2023 EQE Electric Sedan

Backed by a 90.6 kWh battery pack, the EQE 350 delivers more than 300 miles of driving range. According to Mercedes’ study, a 240-volt Level 2 charger can charge the battery from 10 to 100 percent in 9.5 hours. Moreover, Mercedes claims that when plugged into a DC fast charger, the EQE 350’s battery is expected to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 31 minutes.
