The first level 3 automated driving system from Mercedes-Benz will be offered in Germany, so don’t get too excited. However, we can hope to see it implemented here someday, possibly within the next few years. This system is called DRIVE PILOT, and it can take over driving on suitable roads.

After all, many cars are already getting some form of advanced cruise control, which can slow down or speed up the vehicle as needed.
