During a crash test, high-energy X-ray beams penetrate the vehicle and the dummies, capturing hundreds of still images in mere milliseconds. These images are then integrated into a dynamic video sequence, providing engineers with an unprecedented view of the crash event. This innovative technology allows engineers to observe in detail how the vehicle structure deforms and how the dummy’s body reacts to the impact, revealing critical insights that inform ongoing improvements in safety design and development.
