What’s the difference between Mercedes-Benz KEYLESS GO® and KEYLESS START®?

While both KEYLESS GO® and KEYLESS START® may seem like simple concepts, they can actually go a long way in making your drive way more convenient, all before you even hit the road. While the two do sound similar, they are different technologies. Let’s see what the difference is.

KEYLESS GO® vs KEYLESS START®

So, the KEYLESS START® system is exactly what it sounds like. You can start your vehicle without the hassle of a key. All you need to do is press down on the brake pedal and push the start button in your vehicle.

The KEYLESS GO® system is an upgrade to your KEYLESS START® system. You can keep the key fob in your pocket. Once you get near the vehicle, your car will automatically unlock once you have your hand on the door handle. Similarly, when you exit your car and walk away it will automatically lock when you touch the door handle.
