1. Yes, You Can Charge at Home—But There’s More to It

Technically, you can use a standard 110V household outlet. But let’s be real—that’s like trying to fill a swimming pool with a garden hose. It works, but slowly.

For faster charging, a 240V outlet and the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox are the way to go. It’s quicker, more efficient, and super easy to set up. We recommend using Qmerit for a licensed installation. Once that wallbox is in, plug in at night and wake up to a fully charged vehicle by morning.

2. Know Your Charging Levels

Let’s break it down:

Level 1: That’s the regular wall outlet. It is best for emergencies or overnight topping off.
Level 2: This is the most practical option for daily charging. A 240V wallbox gives you much faster results—about 3 to 7 times faster than Level 1.
Level 3/DC Fast Charging: These are found on highways and in public spaces. They are super-fast but not designed for home use due to their power needs. They are great for road trips.

3. Starting a Charging Session Is Easier Than You Think

Your Mercedes-Benz comes with smart tech for this. Just plug it in, and with Plug & Charge, it starts automatically. Prefer using the app? You can activate charging from your phone or even from the navigation screen. Oh, and it works even in rainy weather. Safe, smart, and fuss-free.
