Benefits of Having a Power Liftgate

When you choose a new vehicle, you also get to decide what features you want most. These can be performance focused or even based on convenience. Many innovative automotive features make everyday activities just a little bit easier. Today we’re going to take a closer look at one of these features to see if it is one you’ll want to have on your next vehicle.

Does the Mercedes-Benz GLE have a power liftgate?

One feature that comes standard on a number of Mercedes-Benz SUVs is the power liftgate. This feature allows you to fully open and close the liftgate using a switch on the driver’s interior door panel or a button on the SmartKey remote. There is also a sensor that automatically stops the liftgate if it detects an obstruction and you can set the system to limit the opening height, which is especially useful for lower garages. This added convenience is perfect for when your arms are full.
Another added bonus to this feature is that you won’t have to worry about leaving fingerprints or getting your hands dirty. No Mercedes-Benz owner wants dirty fingerprints left behind marking the bottom edge of the hatch. It also keeps your hands clean from whatever dirt, dust or mud is on the liftgate. The power liftgate is a great feature to have whether you are running errands or loading your Mercedes-Benz for a weekend away.
