AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo

The 2019 AMG® GT Coupe’s base engine is an AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine that is already used in several AMG® models. Its output has been further increased for the AMG® GT 63 S model to ensure superior performance matched with that of a sports car. The upgraded engine delivers an exhilarating 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 664 lb-ft at 2,500 – 4,500 rpm. The AMG® GT 63 S accelerates from 0-60 MPH in just 3.1 seconds and boasts a maximum speed of 195 MPH.

In the Mercedes-AMG GT 63, the AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine delivers a thrilling 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of maximum torque. The GT 63 sprints to 60 MPH from a complete standstill in only 3.3 seconds and reaches its top speed at 193 MPH.

AMG®-enhanced 3.0L I6 engine with EQ Boost

The new AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe is also available as the Mercedes-AMG® GT 53, which is equipped with the innovative AMG®-enhanced 3.0L inline-6 turbo engine with EQ Boost. The EQ Boost combines a starter motor and alternator in an electric motor that is positioned between the engine and transmission–an intelligent combination that ensures the delivery of AMG® performance and driving dynamics while it also cuts fuel consumption and emissions.

The engine is characterized by high performance, which is supported by an electric EQ Boost that helps the engine deliver an additional 21 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The AMG® GT 53 sprints from zero to 60 MPH in only 4.4 seconds and reaches its top speed at 174 mph.
