Available in Sedan, Coupe, and Cabriolet configurations, C 63 models perfectly embody the core of the AMG® performance and sports car brand. All 2019 Mercedes-AMG® C 63 models are equipped with a powerful and responsive handcrafted AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine that delivers a driving experience similar to that of a sports car. The engine is available in two horsepower output variants depending on the model option–all three C 63 body styles are available as a basic model or an S-model with the basic models offering the first output variant and the S-models offering the second. Depending on the body style, the 4.0L V8 delivers 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque or 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The C 63 models can sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in as fast as 3.8 seconds in the C 63 S Coupe. The C 63 Cabriolet has the slowest 0-60 MPH acceleration time of 4.1 seconds.
For the first time ever, AMG® C 63 models will make use of the AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9-speed transmission tuned to deliver a responsive, dynamic driving experience. The transmission features a multiple downshift function to allow for spontaneous bursts of speed like when passing another vehicle or merging onto the highway. The Sport and Sport+ drive programs feature a double-declutching function to deliver an even more satisfying driving experience that truly feels like a sports car.
All 2019 Mercedes-AMG® C 63 variants will be available for sale in the U.S. by early 2019.
