Driver-Assistance Package

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® | Uses radar-based technology to adapt set speed in response to the flow of traffic ahead.

PRE-SAFE PLUS® | Uses sensors to detect an impending impact and engages system features to help protect occupants in a rear-end collision. It also locks the brakes to prevent a secondary collision.

Active Steering Assist | Uses cameras and other sensors to keep the vehicle centered in its lane, even in gentle curves, while using DISTRONIC® adaptive cruise control.

Evasive Steering Assist | Responds to the driver’s evasive maneuvers by calculating steering force to help the vehicle execute the move, then straightens the vehicle back out afterward.

Active Emergency Stop Assist | Detects the driver’s hands off the steering wheel for a prolonged period and provides visual and audible alerts. If the driver does not respond, other systems kick in to reduce the cruising speed in stages and bring the vehicle to a stop.
