The GLS 450 models come standard with a turbocharged 362-horsepower I6 engine, a nine-speed automatic, and AWD. It also comes with the MBUX infotainment system, which includes 12.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Burmester 13-speaker sound system, wireless device charging, and much more. Forward collision warning automatic emergency braking, crosswind assist, blind spot monitoring, a surround-view parking camera system, parallel and perpendicular park assist, and the Pre-Safe system are all standard as well.
The GLS 580 is mainly a bump in performance, upgrading from the I6 to a 483-horse biturbo V8. However, the 580 does gain genuine leather upholstery, five-zone automatic climate control, and massaging front seats.
The AMG GLS 63 focuses on improving performance and luxury. On the performance side of things, AMG provides an optimized version of the 580 biturbo V8, which now produces 602 horsepower. It also adds an upgraded adaptive air suspension, roll stabilization, a limited-slip rear differential, performance exhaust, and high-performance brakes. Other added features include a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control, heated second-row seats, Pre-Safe Plus, lane departure warning with lane keep assist and lane change assist, and a parking damage detector.
The Maybach name is synonymous with the top echelon of luxury. As such, the GLE 600 focuses on comfort and convenience, adding features like massaging front and rear seats, heated armrests, heated and cooling cupholders, a 26-speaker Burmester premium audio system, front and rear wireless device charging, and a 7-inch rear-seat MBUX tablet. A refrigerated console is available. The has a 550-horsepower version of the biturbo V8 engine.
