When users direct their smartphone camera at the dashboard, center console, or steering wheel, augmented reality beacons are superimposed into the controls and displays shown in their smartphone\u2019s camera image.<\/p>\n Users can then select a beacon to receive information on the corresponding feature and its function(s) directly onto their smartphone screen. The information communicated via text descriptions, photo and video content, or a link to the corresponding section of the digital owner\u2019s manual.<\/p>\n “We are creating a personalized customer experience that goes well beyond the vehicle.
