Driver-Assistance Package<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC\u00ae | <\/strong>Uses radar-based technology to adapt set speed in response to the flow of traffic ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRE-SAFE PLUS\u00ae | <\/strong>Uses sensors to detect an impending impact and engages system features to help protect occupants in a rear-end collision. It also locks the brakes to prevent a secondary collision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active Steering Assist |<\/strong> Uses cameras and other sensors to keep the vehicle centered in its lane, even in gentle curves, while using DISTRONIC\u00ae adaptive cruise control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evasive Steering Assist | <\/strong>Responds to the driver\u2019s evasive maneuvers by calculating steering force to help the vehicle execute the move, then straightens the vehicle back out afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active Emergency Stop Assist | <\/strong>Detects the driver\u2019s hands off the steering wheel for a prolonged period and provides visual and audible alerts. If the driver does not respond, other systems kick in to reduce the cruising speed in stages and bring the vehicle to a stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
