Veteran Storytelling<\/h3>\n

Looking for something different? The South Mountain Community College is hosting a veterans storytelling event. Here, you will find post 9\/11 veterans telling stories about their time in the military. The event\u00a0begins at 6 PM on Thursday, November 10th.<\/p>\n

Gourd Dancing<\/h3>\n

Stepping even further out of the box, the Heard Museum is hosting a Gourd Dance to honor United States Veterans, specifically American Indian United States War Veterans and their families. It’s a pow wow you don’t want to miss if you want to learn and honor at the same time.<\/p>\n

Also happening right here in Peoria is a five kilometer Veterans Day run. It will commence prior to the tribute to veterans on Saturday, November 5th.<\/p>\n
