\nThe truth is that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Tesla Model S are very similar cars. The problem with the S-Class, is that it isn’t available in all-electric form in the United States, giving the Tesla a weight advantage. The introduction of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, however, could be the beginning of a new generation of electric cars.<\/p>\n
Power<\/h3>\n
In the power category, you know Mercedes-Benz wouldn’t release such a car without being able to one-up the current leader. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 features the equivalent of 738 horsepower. The Tesla P90D comes with 532 horsepower.<\/p><\/div>\n
Acceleration<\/h3>\n
Thanks to Ludicrous mode, the Tesla model is faster than the Mercedes-AMG GT R and the 911 GT3. Because of the large size of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, it will accelerate much slower than the Tesla Model S.<\/p><\/div>\n
Range<\/h3>\n
Again, we have to give the range category to Tesla, which will travel about 70 more miles than the Mercedes-Maybach prototype. It is important to remember that the Mercedes-Maybach is a concept car that will change immensely before ever making it to production. <\/p><\/div>\n
