This will help immensely with stability on the road, because if you’ve ever driven one, it feels like it wants to be tipped over more than anything in the world. A wider body will also give more traction in the dirt. Typically, making a larger body adds weight, but not in this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the G-Class hasn’t been updated since 2012, a lot of the materials used on the body are outdated. By updating this, rumor has it that the G-Class could lose almost 1,000 pounds for the 2018 model. This would also help stability drastically and could turn the G-Class into a modern sports car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine options likely will not change for 2018.
