After more than a hundred years of making the world’s best cars and SUVs, Mercedes-Benz is finally dipping into the pickup truck industry. The Mercedes-Benz X-Class Stylish Explorer release date will not occur until this time next year, but it could be the biggest release date of the last 25 years.

On the outside, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class Stylish Explorer looks like a cross between a GLS and G-Class. It features low-profile rims, a marble finish, and grille that looks like the future of Mercedes-Benz.

X-Class Stylish Explorer Trim And Engine Options

The X-Class going to be made for both the street and the dirt. The Stylish Explorer is the model that will be made for the road, but this will have little affect on the engines available for both. The X-Class Stylish Explorer will likely be available as an X550, a Mercedes-AMG X63, and eventually, a Mercedes-AMG X65. These trims feature a 4.0L V8 biturbo, a 5.5L V8, biturbo, and a 6.0L V12 biturbo, respectively. These are the same engines available in the G-Class, providing 416, 563, and 621 horsepower.

Mercedes-Benz did not say anything about a Mercedes-AMG X-Class, but it is an inevitable reality waiting to happen. Like the G-Class, the X-Class could form an entirely new pickup market of its own.

Suggested Retail Price

There is a lot that will probably change about the X-Class before it hits dealership floors, but we expect it to start at a price of $75,000. Unfortunately, it won’t be available in the United States during its initial production run.
