Standard on all E-Class Sedan models, the COMAND® Navigation system adds ultra-convenience to any daily errand or weekend adventure with live traffic feeds, 3D maps, pre-turn lane advice, and search engines for area points-of-interest. A seamless touch-pad controls the navigation functions, which drivers can use by tapping, twisting, or handwriting. A panoramic 12.3″ screen displays the navigation, connectivity, and entertainment screens.
DRIVE PILOT® is an intelligent cruise control system with a new, innovative feature: sideways functionality. With the system, the E-Class decreases and increases speed with the flow and stays between the lane lines, even on curves. The system also allows drivers to change lanes with the touch of the turn-signal lever.
PRE-SAFE® Sound scans the road ahead for an impending collision and, when triggered, emits a safe “pink noise” via the audio system to pre-trigger the driver’s and passengers’ ears’ natural defenses against the loud noises of an accident.
PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side is an industry-first feature that prepares E-Class driver for an impending side impact by rapidly inflating the driver-seat bolster, moving the driver further from the point of collision to help reduce the forces of impact.
