The A-Class is an entry-level Mercedes-Benz. That means that it is one of if not the most affordable Mercedes-Benz available. It is currently in its third generation and is available with a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines. An American introduction of this car could disrupt sales for cars like the incoming Focus RS or the Golf R400 thanks to an AMG model with 350 horsepower.

A-Class Engine Options

Right now, the A-Class is available in places like Europe and Australia with four combustion engines and four diesel engines. Across the spectrum, it ranges from 89 horsepower to 355 horsepower with all-wheel drive, which it accomplishes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.

Mercedes-Benz hasn’t officially announced any plans to implement the A-Class into the American market, but if it does happen, it will replace the CLA-Class as the smallest Mercedes-Benz offered in the country.
