SL-Class Affordability

For automotive aficionados, there is no greater feeling than fighting against the steering wheel of a rear-wheel drive roadster. The only problem with this fantasy is that sports cars are expensive. Drivers need something that they can have fun in without having to refinance their homes. This is where the SLK comes in. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class near Phoenix AZ is a luxury sports car with a daily driver price tag.   The SLK-Class, in its third generation, is a magnificent representation of the Mercedes-Benz brand. It is stocked full of unique features reserved for the premium Mercedes-Benz models such as the S-Class or the SL-Class roadster. It has crisp indentations and flowing lines all around the exterior that give it a head-turning look that screams Mercedes-Benz. The SLK was the first car to bring back the retractable hard top that was introduced in the SL-Class over 50 years ago, which gives indication of how timeless the design actually is.

2016 SLK300

For 2016, the 2015 SLK design is carried over, giving the engineers at Mercedes-Benz a chance to refine the SLK and add more driver-friendly features that make the car more advanced than ever before. The SLK is still available in three trims, but the base model has been upgraded from SLK250 to SLK300. The reason for the name chance is a more powerful engine that makes the affordable SLK an even better deal for your money. With the introduction of this new trim, we also see a switch from the standard 7-speed automatic transmission to the coveted 9-speed SHIFTRONIC automatic transmission.   For the sport enthusiast, the SLK is also available at the SLK350 and the SLK55 AMG. These trims each get unique engines that produce 302 and 415 horsepower, respectively. These engines will also be paired with the 9-speed transmission for 2016 and will also include a new color option.
