GLC Name Change

The name is changing to GLC so that Mercedes-Benz can better keep track of its lineup. The C in GLC signifies that this new crossover will be related to the C-Class sedan, just like the new GLE will be related to the E-Class. News of the change was released only a couple months ago, and already the GLC is gaining praise. It is going to have some of the most advanced features known to man and has already been nominated for the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year award. So what’s so special about it? GLC New Design

The GLC is more circular in its design. By more circular, we of course mean it is less boxy than the GLK. This rounded style looks more modern than the outgoing GLK and consequently looks like a smaller vehicle. Here is the kicker; It’s not a smaller vehicle. It’s actually longer, wider, and taller than the GLK. Granted, it is not that much bigger, but making a car bigger while also making it look smaller is a feat that most car manufacturers have yet to perfect. A smaller size and lighter frame make the GLC quicker and more fuel efficient.

GLC-Class Release Date

November is the magic month that we can expect the GLC to arrive at our doorsteps. Mercedes-Benz has yet to share a specific date with us, but we infer that the number will differ from dealership to dealership. If there are no problems with distribution, then you can probably expect to get your hands on one no later than the second week of November.
